Cue The Death March Jimmy Sullivan! 3

Gee was today a bad day for celebs/pseudo celebs everywhere.

But before I get into to that. I hope everyone of my readers (if I have any) had a happy and safe holidays.

I did! And I am back with blogging avengence.

So let’s get started.

As if you didn’t already know. Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy Sullivan died on Monday night of natural causes .

He was 28.

First off, the idea that Sullivan, a.k.a The Rev, died of natural causes is complete rubbish in my opinion

Nothing gets my spidey-senses tingling more than something that sounds like a blatant lie. What natural causes could possibly bump off a 28-year-old???

If it wasn’t old age, and I’m no doctor but I can assure you it wasn’t, then it can’t very well be a naturally caused death.

More like repeated and extensive drug abuse.

But before I start conspiracy theories, I’m going to back to the point of this post, which, of course, is about no other than the Grim that seems to be haunting celebs during this otherwise merry month.

After all, Erik Gates, a frequent guest on Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters also died today.

Then there was Brittany Murphy and Roy. E. Disney (nephew of Walt Disney)… although I admit, Roy’s passing wasn’t that much of shock… he was almost 80 when Death took him.

But that’s not the point. What amazes me is how easily we mere mortals get swept up in the alluring web that is celebrity death.

Hands up how many people didn’t give a shit about Brittany Murphy while she was alive?

Hands up how many people had never even heard of Avenged Sevenfold before The Rev’s death?

Hands up how many people didnt even know Walt Disney had a nephew before Roy’s tragic passing?

I’ve got my hand up on all three counts and I’m sure you do too.

It’s amazing and slightly macabre to watch the world’s fascination with death.

I am positively, 100 per cent sure that most people couldn’t name one Avenged Sevenfold song. Yet Sullivan took out today’s number 1,2, 8,9,10, 12 and 18 spot on Google’s most searched list.

Let’s be honest, we don’t care about Sullivan or his band. All we want to know is the juicy, gory details.

Celebrity deaths appeal to the sadist in all of us. We’re afraid of death but fascinated all the same.

It’s gross but it teaches any would-be celeb an important lesson.

If you want to be Googled, you should off yourself… or let ‘natural causes’ do it for you.

Wow maybe if you were a fan of Avenged Sevenfold and enjoyed their music then you would understand that Jimmy’s death is a tragedy. He was, in my opinion, one of the best drummers of his time, and he WILL, in fact, be missed.

Hands up how many people don’t give a shit about this blogger’s pointless bullshit?

    I’ve got mine up.

I’m sorry you feel that way. To miss someone that you’ve never even met. I hope you have the same about of sympathy for all those Haitians who died. Or does your sympathy only extend to celebrities with dubious lifestyles?
