I get the feeling this stuff might not be as exciting as you think... mine looks pretty similar in shape to yours, just a lot sparser.

We have some friends in common, but they're a pretty small fraction of the total, I think, so I think it's mostly just because we're in the same location, which produces a similar bias. Or maybe it's also that we both have a lot of people we know online so we're both geographically diverse, and somebody who was less online-oriented would be different... but would they be on orkut?

Can Canadians become Orkuteers? Or is it exclusively for folks south of the 49th parallel?

Sean, your point about this stuff not being exciting IS exactly why it IS interesting. Isn't it peculiar how people have so many different friends, yet they all appear to be clustered within the same sets of cities?

I'm sure someone can figure a way to exploit this phenomenon to benefit mankind...

Sure, Canadians can be on Orkut. I am. :)

silly, fun, kinda interesting cinematic effects; paced like a videogame. The Rock is a decent comic actor as well as credible action hero. cool fighting scenes.

in spite of some good performances, i couldn't get over the condescending tone. it's a classic case of straight guy pretending to be gay, getting the girl and a better job, and safely being able to declare that he's straight - and escaping thr real problems of homophobia. left me feeling a little icky.

lulu gave me this book. it's magical. set in a fantasy industrial age new york city, suffused with mythology.

a great game. scary. i can't play it unless jesse's home. even then it's hard. i make him play it so i can cower behind the blanket and tell him to watch out for the bad guys. yeah, i'm that much of a wimp.
